I love this so much. It makes me and my aging into more worries feel more at home in this world. And with such good company.

Lying? To doctors? How shocking. 😳

I love how this piece constructs so many critical angles in the constellation of aging, fear, courage, preparation, independence, and vulnerability.

"This is going to make such a good story," we used to tell each other when things like this happened. And they did make good stories. But seldom as good as these.

Your story on aging, disability, and life mishaps is so real! It felt like I was inside your head. I love how you are able to weave a story of real life events into something that I can feel as I read. You are bringing in so many angles of thinking that tie in with the past present and future. Thank you for this.
